Sometimes it feels like I have been seeing life through a sepia filter lately. Everything has been dreary and kind of sad. Perhaps it’s the weather, but deep down I know that being single is really putting a toll on me. My name’s Kimberly, I am 38 and sadly, I have been single for quite a while now. Sure, I did have some flings and short relations, but they all ended sooner than expected. I know that it always come down to the fact that I am a transgender. Being attracted to me is one thing. Lots of men are. I am a tall and beautiful brunette attractive features. But are they willing to commit, present me to their parents and such, that’s where it usually breaks.
And I really aspire to a serious relationship, even marriage someday. I’ve got a great job in the DC area, a nice cozy home in Arlington, Virginia, I am on good terms with my family, and I have a supportive group of friends. However, I still need a vibrant and loving boyfriend in my life. I want to go out, visit museums, parks, go on road trips, discover the culinary scene of DC with you, all the fun stuff. In other words, I need a passionate and joyful relationship, but one that is founded on solid love and care. How about that ?
